History

Solventerra was formed in 2010 to provide local renewable energy strategy and solutions for farmers and commercial and industrial customers in Massachusetts, developing over 15 MW of solar projects over the next half decade.  As one of the pioneers in the rapid growth of Massachusetts solar industry, Solventerra partnered with farmers to identify fallow farmland suitable for mid and large scale ground mounted solar projects. These projects provided farmers with increased revenue through lease agreements.  Solventerra also worked with local businesses to help them save energy costs while reducing emissions by designing and developing rooftop solar installations.

While developing local solar projects, Solventerra also built a specialized advisory and consulting service to assist corporations and MUSH market entities on Renewable Energy strategy and procurement.  Solventerra leverages over two decades of energy project development, legal and regulatory expertise to innovate new models for large scale procurement of renewable energy.

Today, Solventerra advises a diverse range of businesses and municipalities including over a dozen Fortune 500 corporations in renewable energy procurement and has facilitated multiple aggregated virtual power purchase agreements for large scale solar and wind projects.
